But I add a small addition , urad dal fried seperatly without oil and dry red chilli, then adding oil with that onion , tomato, ginger,curry leaves,coriander leaves, tamarind,and then at last added pudina leaves, fry it , allow it to cool and then add coconut and grind it. goes very well for idly, dosa and chapatti. Heat Oil in a small frying pan, add Mustard Seeds. Instructions for making pudina coconut chutney: Take grated coconut, pudina leaves, green chilies, tamarind and salt in a mixie jar. Grind until smooth using required water.

Instructions to make Coconut-Pudina Chutney:
  1. Take pudina, coriander, ginger, chilli and grinded coconut in a mixer.
  2. Grind it well to form a paste.
  3. Add a little water if the mixture gets too thick.
  4. Add salt to taste and spoonful of lemon juice. You can also add a pinch of chat masala for taste
  5. And the chutney is ready to serve

Transfer ground chutney into a container. Pudhina (Mint) chutney is a wonderful side dish for Idly or Dosas.
